Burning for the Lord:

The paralyzed man & friends

A study of men and women who were living sacrifices

Context: Mark 2:1-12

What did they do?
They had faith that Jesus could heal the paralyzed man, so they did everything they could to get to Jesus!
What did it cost them?  They risked getting in trouble as well as judgement from the pharisees.
What did God do? Jesus healed the paralyzed man and forgave him of his sins!

Teaching Notes: The paralyzed man had faithful friends.  It is important for us to have faithful friends and to be a faithful friend!  These friends encouraged the paralyzed man's faith and put their faith into action to help their friend.  Think about 1 John 3:18.  Look at various versions to help explain it to the kids!
