Burning for the Lord: Elijah

A study of men and women who were living sacrifices

This Week's Passage: 1 Kings 18 (Elijah challenges the prophets of Baal)

What Elijah did:
He obeyed when God told him to confronted the King & he trusted God so much that he dared the King to see who's god/God was the best.

What it cost Him: He could have been killed for being so bold, but he didn't care.

What God did: God proved He is the one and only true God. And  He protected Elijah.

Table Talk

“Did you notice someone do something for someone else today?

Talk about what it looks like to burn for the Lord by serving others when it costs you.

Bedtime Blessing

“Father, speak to (your child's name) just like you spoke to Elijah. And give (your child's name) the faith to listen and obey as you speak to them.”

As you tuck your child in or send them to bed this week, pray this blessing over them out loud.
